Welcome to Sunday Storytime, coming to you from the Story Room, so named by my granddaughter, Daisy, because this is the room where we both write our stories. We are continuing with 'The Rewilding of Molly McFlynn,' my novel about true friendship, daring to be different, and breaking free of expectations. This is YA and crossover fiction which tells one young girl’s story of discovering her true self, intertwined with the real events of the Newcastle Witch Trials of 1649. Last week, in The Bell Man, we learnt about Martha’s flight from town, and who and what the bell man and witchfinder were, and why her mam, Ann Watson, has been banged up in Newcastle Gaol. This week we discover more about what is ailing Grandad and the conflicts between Molly’s Mam and her Nan about what should be done about this.
